6 YEARS AGO KRISTIAN AND FRANK FIRST MET UP THROUGH KRISTIANS RECORDSHOP "PLATTENTASCHE" AND VARIOUS GIGS IN THE AREA. FRANK ALREADY EXPERIENCED WITH HIS FORMER PROJECT SOUL FC (RELEASE ON FSOJ) AND KRISTIAN BEING A SCIENTIFIC MUSIC NERD IN A POSITIVE WAY, THEY ONE DAY DECIDED TO TWEAK THE KNOBS TOGETHER. AS A THIRD OCCASIONAL MEMBER AND TO MAKE THE CIRCLE COMPLETE BERLIN BASED EREN SOLAK IS HELPING OUT WITH ADDITIONAL KEYS AND PARTS OF THE COMPOSITION FROM TIME TO TIME. KRISTIAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN TURNED ON BY THE VOICES SHOUTING OUT OF MOTOR CITY BY THE LIKES OF MOODYMAN, UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE AND CARL CRAIG AS WELL AS THE NEW YORK CITY SOUND OF BLAZE AND METRO AREA, WHEREAS FRANK’S BROAD SPECTRUM OF INFLUENCES RANGES FROM CHATEAU FLIGHT, JOHN TEJADA OVER TO IG CULTURE AND JAZZANOVA.

A Detroit native whose move to Berlin was ahead of its time, for the last four years Shaun Reeves has been enthralling European audiences with his own highly distinctive mixture of American house, both classic and contemporary, and the deepest, most cutting edge aspects of minimal techno and tech-house. In addition to playing in Berlin’s celebrated Panorama Bar, Watergate, Arena Club, and the legendary Beatstreet loft parties, he has appeared in Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), T-Bar (London), Wolf + Lamb (NYC), Bunker (NYC), End Up (San Francisco), Cocoliche (Buenos Aires), La Sala (Bogota), Harry Klein (Munich), and many other clubs and parties in Europe, North and South America.

While searching deep in the back catalogue of house and techno for forgotten tracks that sound decidedly fresh and exciting, Shaun remains committed to pushing all genres of dance music forward. His is music not just for the dance floor, but also for the body, soul…and brain. As the recent resurgence of interest in the border between house and techno makes all too clear, Shaun has always been one to set musical trends rather than follow them.

Best known for his collaborative work as Uli Kunkel and with Miss Fitz, Shaun has recently been working with fellow Detroit-native Seth Troxler, a collaboration that will appear on Raum, as well as with Argentina’s Dilo. Recently he has begun to produce on his own, crafting elegant house music that has learned from the best aspects of minimal, but bringing back an element of emotional depth often lacking from that genre. And as friends and family know, Shaun’s re-edits are highly sought after by Djs and music lovers, often stripping the music to its barest elements but in the process bringing out a depth and complexity lacking in the original.

Iain Taylor, One of Manchester’s favorite son’s. An international DJ, A successful producer and a pioneering club promoter. He pulls all these job descriptions together very neatly under the banner of Rejekts. Rejekts have released on San Francisco based Dirtybird Records (Claude Von Stroke’s label) and also put out tracks their own Rejekt Music label and have remixed for Peep Show recordings. Their productions have worked their way into the set’s of Sven Vath, Ritchie Hawtin, John Digweed, MANDY, MR C, DJ Hell, Layo & Bushwacka, Smokin Jo, Claude Von Stroke, Nic Faniculli, Funk D Void, Steve Lawler, Tania Vulcano, Stephan Bodzin, Tom Stephan & even one Hernan Catenaeo to name only the most prolific! Iain currently holds residencies Slovenia, South America, Manchester & Ibiza (all the important places then).

This awesome super duper DJ producer is famed for working crowds into frenzy, he brings an infectious energy & cutting edge tracks as well as hot new productions & exclusive re edits fresh from the Rejekt HQ mixing desk.

Iain’s first proper gig was in 1994 when at aged 19 he played at the Legendary Hacienda in Manchester. One of his mix tapes had been handed to the promoter and Iain was booked to play the main set in the main room.

Since then things have steadily moved up and up for the young Mancunion Deejay. More gigs at the Hacienda soon followed and then onto more of Manchester’s legendary clubs like Sankeys Soap and The Music Box and then further a field around the UK to clubs like Fabric (London), The Boutique (Brighton), The Sub Club (Glasgow), Ministry of Sound (London), Chew The Fat (London) and then pretty much most of the decent underground clubs in the UK.

It was not long before his talents took Iain overseas. First to Ireland and then Finland and then Holland and so on and so forth until by 2006 he has DJ’d in over 25 countries and now spends half of his time DJing outside of the UK. His profile has risen to such a height that DJ magazine recently did a 10 page feature on Iain Taylor as they followed him on a 7 date tour of Asia which took in China, Taiwan, Thailand & Indonesia. 7 parties in 12 days all reported on for DJ Magazine.

Watching Iain DJ is always impressive, as he reels crowds in with his deep tripped out sound and tight and technical mixing. His reputation as a world class cutting edge DJ has won him headline spots at world famous festivals like Glastonbury, Szegit, Field Trip & Dpercussion as well as features & interviews on Radio 1 (Pete Tong) and appearances & features on regional & internet radio stations worldwide from Indonesia to Ecuador, Australia to France, Slovenia to Japan & back again.

Iain’s attitude towards music, Djing and Promoting is one that quality should always shine through and that new music and new scene’s are the lifeblood of dance music as a whole. It is this attitude that has earned him critical acclaim throughout his career.
