How old are you?
32

How long have been djing?
From bedroom dj to club dj 8 years.

What got you into djing?
My love of italian piano house music! from a very old club in Bradford called "Dukes and Silks", at this point i started collecting "the knights of the turntable" records to which I'm still collecting now!! Also, going to a club in Leeds called "Townhouse" which at that time played all the early hedkandi music which i absolute love and still do to this day.

How long have you been playing for Venus?
Nearly 1 year now, Djin at Venus is a dream come true and something I've always wanted to do. There is a lovely story behind how i got Djin for venus and to this day it still gets me emotional so, ask me when I'm drunk and i may tell you.

Who would you aspire to dj with?
Warren Clarke, I love his music! also, Mr Kenny Dope from Masters at work! Legend.

Who is your favourite dj and why?
I don't want to sound arsey here but, I don't really have a fav dj. I think as a dj you must create your own style and be original at all times. I do admire certain Dj's but, I would never try copy certain tricks, techniques or skill they may do in sets but, for me it's all about how the music is put together! not how good certain Dj's can scratch, loop, edit etc....

What advice would you give an aspiring dj?
Be confident and Practice for 1 to 2 hours every day. Make cd's of you sets and listen back to them and study where you went wrong and learn from them. Hand your cd's out to friends and ask for honest opinions! Find music you love and get to know it inside out from beat to beat. When handing cd's out to clubs and bars Don't get to upset if you get a knock back, Keep practicing and keep following the dream! The dream will always be there if you work hard enough! and when you do make it as a DJ always remember the people that supported you and the club that gave you the lucky break!

What does 2010 have in store for you?
To be still playing at Venus i hope? I just want to keep playing the music i love for Funkyhouse related nights such as Venus. I'm loving my time at all my residencies and i Don't want it to stop. I'm resident Dj at Tony Walkers night love to be in Leeds & Ibiza, I've just landed a new residency at Leeds oldest nightclub "The Warehouse" which has under gone a massive refurbishment to bring the old club back to it's glory!! I also do regular sets at Queer bar on canal street, I'm lined up in september 2010 to play for Hedkandi at Venus which still has not sunk in yet? I love all my Hedkandi music and i have got every cd so, to Dj at a Hedkandi night is another dream come true. Thanks To Dave, Ben, Stephen, Tony, and all my friends and family for supporting me.
