What got you into djing?
Got into djing when i first heard house music in 88 and have been hooked ever since
How long have you been playing for Venus?
I have been djing at Venus for 6 glorious years loving the end of night sets
Who would you aspire to dj with?
I have djed with all big boys at Love to be including Pete tong Roger Sanchez Eric morillo etc but Would love to DJ with Dave Connor one night as he knows his tunes as he directs from the dancefloor so would be top to get him in the booth one day!!
Who is your favourite dj and why?
Favourite DJ is a guy called chip chop who I djed with at my residency at cheetah in New York. He did a 4 hour set playing no more than 30 seconds of one track that's nearly 500 trax in one set !! Awesome !! not a beat out of place seriously working it
What advice would you give an aspiring dj?
Advice for aspiring djs would be get to know your music inside out - love it live it spin it and alway connect with your crowd.
What does 2010 have in store for you?
2010 sees me take my Love to be...brand to ibiza for a residency at Eden on Thursdays. Iv also been working on the project to bring the leeds warehouse back to life and hopefully we will take the Venus tour to that club soon. I'm pushing my radio show digital domain via ssr and other syndications. Whilst studio work has seen me busy remixing for Laurent Wolf, Seamus Haji, Pure and Todd Terry as well as producing the funky stuff on my label one foot in the groove.
