Venus has a new home. Venus has purchased a purpose built venue just for you and will be open in Feb 2010. Venus the brand has been going since 1999 and one of the UK’s longest running weekly house nights. The club will be known as Venus the Club.

Venus started at the end of March 1999 by a team of promoters who longed to find the perfect sized venue to be able to create fantastic atmosphere with the very best DJ’s and music the scene has to offer... A venue that would also be free from idiots, beer monsters and trouble causers.

“We would rather have quality than quantity”, is our moto, and it is that together with our unique blend of music, fantastic crowd and atmosphere that ensures Venus goes from strength to strength as each week and year goes by.

Each week Venus brings you the UK's cream of the crop house DJ’s that are not there because of a name, but because they know how to rock “OUR” crowd... And many have become legends because of that! That is why every week the club is packed to the rafters with most up for it and friendliest crowd on the planet... It doesn’t get better!

So why not join us every week for the party of your life! We don't want to be the biggest and don't want to be the most profitable, we want to give the nice people of Manchester somewhere to let your hair down in the knowledge that there are like minded people enjoying their night as much as you. We like nice people, and people who don't care who you are, where you are from or what you do - they are just up for a good time!!!

Saturdays
Every Saturday night - Venus
MUSIC POLICY - Vocal funky house all night long in the club area (11pm-6am) and Funk / Soul / Bar Music in our bar area (10pm-1am)

Venus has always worked closely with Greater Manchester Police and we advise anyone planning a night out in the city to visit the City Centre Safe Website. This site gives you tips on how to drink and socialise safely within Manchester City Centre. Venus runs a zero tolerance approach to drink related incidents and drugs. Our policy of random searches and one of the strictest door policies in Manchester means that if it's your first night visiting the venue, or you are on of the old school crowd; you will not only be made to feel welcome but you will be partying with the knowledge that you are in a safe environment with like minded people.
